WHICH DESIGN PROGRAM DO YOU USE?
We use Homestyler, a user-friendly and widely used design tool that allows you to create floor plans, 3D visuals, and professional presentations. It offers both a free version and affordable paid plans, making it easy for students to get started without large upfront costs.
Software, such as Archicad, is commonly used in architectural and highly technical design environments. These programs typically require extensive training and come with higher costs. For this reason, Homestyler is a practical and accessible choice for interior design education, allowing students to focus on design concepts, space planning, and presentation skills.
You will also learn how to use Canva to create moodboards and presentations. Canva offers a free version as well as a reasonably priced Pro plan. Since all tools used in the program are cloud-based, you can work from any standard laptop or computer.
